FIFA keeps 32 teams for 2022

The 2022 World Cup in Qatar will be a 32-team tournamentas originally planned, FIFA has announced. The world governing body had considered expanding the event to 48 teams, but this has provedimpractical. With the event just three years away, Qatari organizers did not feel there was enough time tocarry outstudies on thelogisticalimpact of an expanded competition.

Starting from May 22, the waitlist function previously trialedon some rail routes will be available to all passenger trains in China. When the desired train tickets are not available at the ticket booking site and the app of the China Railway Corporation, a person can use the "waiting" function.

When other ticket buyers cancel or change their tickets, the system will allocate the returned tickets to waiting buyers on the list and inform them through short messages, WeChat or mobile app information.

They will have to prepaythe maximum price for each ticket, and once they have obtained the tickets, the difference from the actual fare will be refunded. China's integrated circuit design and software enterprises will benefit froma new tax-freeincentivepolicy, according to a statement bythe Ministry of FinanceandState Taxation Administrationon Wednesday.

Companies that meet certain requirements will be exempt fromincome tax in the first and second profit-making years and allowed a 50% reduction from the third to fifth years until expiry of thepreferentialperiod, which shall start from the first profit-making year prior to December 31, 2018.
